Fitness Friday-Reboot 10 Day Challenge

So a couple of weeks ago I watched the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.  It really opened my eyes, and I wanted to try rebooting.  So the week before starting I prepared myself by cutting out greasy foods, starting to juice at least one meal or two, and trying to get my mind ready.  Also, after my Texans Running of the Bulls race Methodist Hospital was there doing health screenings for free.  Here are my results:

The week before the challenge I actually started juicing all day except for 1 to 2 meals which were grilled chicken with veggies.

And guess what?  I lost 4 lbs.

My goal-I want to get out of the 160s and into the 150s.

October 1-weigh in 165.2 (sorry I was so excited I forgot to take a picture)
October 2-weigh in  163.9
October 3-weigh in 163.0
October 4-weigh in -> -> -> check out the scale

October 5-weigh in 158.8
October 6-weigh in 158.6 ( I ran the Race for the Cure 5K while pushing my 20 lb daughter in 40 mins.  After the race I actually did have a banana, a McDonald's so call real fruit smoothie, and some granola they were passing out to the runners. )

October 7-weigh in 158.2 (the hardest day ever, I wanted to eat everything in sight, we went grocery shopping, and I cooked food for the week)
October 8-weigh in 158.2 (I cheated at dinner time.  It was my brother's birthday and we all went out for Monday Night Football)
October 9-weigh in 158.6 (Cheated again, and the number is proof)
October 10-weigh in 157.4
Total weightloss-7.8 lbs in 10 days

My co-workers and family have all noticed the weightloss.  I have noticed the weightloss in the clothes.  My stomach is no longer pooching out of my clothes.  And I do not look pregnant.  This is a size 8 dress that I have been squeezing myself into and now it actually fits, and it feels loose on the sides.

In conclusion, I learned I am addicted to food.  I felt like a phene the last couple of days I cracked under the pressure.  I was full.  But my head played games with me.  I wanted something to bite, crunch, and just lick.  But now I know why I have been dealing with a weight problem because of my food addiction.  I will continue to juice but add a meal or two back into my 6 meals.  And every beginning of the month I will do a reboot to cleanse my body.  It is about choices.  I want to live a healthy life for my future.

Do you juice?  Have you ever tried to juice?  Did it work for you?

This is great! Good for you, girl. I wish I could lose that much in 10 days. I'm addicted to food too but I've never addressed the issue. I've never tried juicing either but I think you've convinced me. I just need to get over that need to always eat something, even when I'm not hungry at all. Keep it up!
