Little Twig Dish Soap and Bottle Wash

What is your most hated chore?  Mine is washing dishes.  I did not grow up with a dish washer.  I was the dish washer and still am.  I do have a dish washer but I like to wash the dishes myself.  I'm OCD that way.  It is a love hate relationship I have with the dishes.
Thanks to Little Twig for sending samples to review.  All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.

Little Twig is a line of gentle, safe and natural skincare, bath time, and household products.
One of their newest additions is the Dish Soap and Bottle Wash.  This is perfect for dishes, greasy pots, sippy cups and baby bottles.  Their product features a powerful natural plant based cleansing agent that leaves the dishes squeaky clean and residue free. These are available in two scents: Lemon Fresh and Fragrance Free.

I put Little Twig to the test this week and it passed.  But of course, I expected it to pass and all their products are always great.  Little Twig products are made with certified organic ingredients, natural botanicals and pure essential oils.  Each product is paraben and sulfate free, phthalate free, soy free and gluten free.  Little Twig is a natural care line for the entire family.

Academy and Carlos Correa #LoveHOU Event

Did you know Academy  Sports + Outdoors was founded in Texas?  In 1938, Academy opened up as a tire shop in San Antonio, TX.  The Academy Sports + Outdoors vision has continuously been to adapt to their customers' changing needs.  They have also been actively supporting their communities.
Thanks to Academy for inviting me to be in attendance at such a great event.  This is a compensated post.  All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.

On Saturday, Sept 24, they gave 1,938 Astros tickets to Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and treated 38 kids to a shopping spree with Houston Astros Carlos Correa.
The kids were so excited to meet Carlos Correa.  Carlos helped the kids from the Boys and Girls club on their shopping spree.  They picked up their favorite Astros gear and memorabilia.  And Carlos even stopped to sign all their new Astros purchases.
Carlos even jumped on a register to help check out the kids, stopping from time to time to sign any items that had been missed.  The kids were so overjoyed.
Thanks to Academy for this hosting this event and giving the chance to one of my readers to win a $50 gift card here on my blog.  You read that right, enter below:

LEGO KidsFest 2016 returns to Houston

Have you ever been to a LEGO KidsFest?  We haven't and are so excited that this fest is coming to our city.
LEGO KidsFest 2016

Houston, TX: Oct. 21-23 (NRG Center)

The LEGO KidsFest is a traveling LEGO extravaganza featuring millions of LEGO bricks and dozens of hands-on, educational, and fun building activities for all ages.  It features dozens of life-sized LEGO models and displays, LEGO building areas, the Big Brick Pile, race ramps and more, all covering more than three acres of space.

Once again, show-goers can enjoy the LEGO Model Museum, Race Ramps, Creation Nation, Construction Zone, LEGO DUPLO, LEGO Retail store and LEGO KidsFest Marketplace, the Big BrickPile, LEGO Ninjago and more.

We are huge fans.  We get lost in LEGO play time.  To actually see this huge creations is amazing not only for our kids but for the adults.  I can't wait for this to come to our city for my family to attend.  I can't even imagine the total LEGO count in this place.  But at least I don't have to pick them up.  Your kiddos get to see their favorite characters in life size.  I can't wait.

Five sessions - all identical and 4 1/2 half hours in length - are held at each tour stop.  LEGO KidsFest tickets can be purchased at www.LEGOkidsfest.com.  Tickets are $19 for the Friday and Sunday afternoon sessions, and $22 for both sessions on Saturday and the Sunday morning session.

Not Feeling PreK

We have had a rough start to our Academic career.  We have a feisty four year old who was not feeling PreK.  Littles sometimes do not know how to deal with change.  Their little worlds are turned upside down.  New routines, schedules, people, and places can be a lot for anyone to get used to.  A whole lot of new and none of the old comforts can be so scary.  This is exactly what happened.

My poor daughter did not know how to deal with all that was going on.  Her emotions were all over the place.  As parent, we tried it all trying to find something to help her and at times we felt a little helpless.  We can try to control everything but some things are out of our hands.
Thanks to Moodsters for sending a character and sticker activity book.  All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.

The school has been great and the teacher has been so helpful.  One of the suggestions they had for us was to get a sticker chart at home for our daughter's success.  We worked on a strategy that we could do at school and at home.  And it has been successfully working for us.  We work daily on handling our emotions wherever we go.  The sticker idea was a great idea.
The Moodsters Plush Characters and Sticker Activity Books are based on the five lovable Moodsters detectives - Coz, Lolly, Quigly, Razzy, and Snorf - that each personify an emotion that all children experience in their everyday lives including happiness, anger, love, sadness and fear. Additional details include:
  • Each plush character features sayings specific to the emotions they represent
  • Comes with a fun and educational activity book to learn about each feeling
Lolly and the Moodsters sticker activity book was a great way to help us continue to talk to our daughter.  The book comes with guidelines and full of activities to help you and your child with their moods.  Ever have your kiddo throw a tantrum, why not give them a way to work through their emotions.

At the point when I felt helpless, I was willing to try anything.  Who knew old school ways-stickers, would do the trick?  I did not know how we would get through the school year after that first week of school.  Now I see a light and am glad our daughter can have good days not only at home but at school too.

Premama Digestive Aid

When I was pregnant, I worried about everything that I put in my mouth because I did not want to hurt my baby.
Thanks to MomSelect and Premama for sending a sample for review. All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.

I know I have to clear the air and start with, I'm not pregnant.  Ok, now that we got that out of the way I can tell you all about this new product Premama has.  I first was introduced to Premama in 2013 when I found out they have drinkable prenatal vitamins.  And now they have come out with a digestive aid to support digestion and a healthy immune system during pregnancy.  I feel I have to share great products when I find them especially because it is something I wish was available when I was pregnant.
Premama Digestive Aid is a new prenatal fiber and probiotic soft chew.  Formulated to help maintain digestive balance and boost the immune system naturally, Premama Digestive Aid delivers a daily probiotic solution in a delicious vanilla caramel-flavored chew.  Each chew contains 2g of dietary fiber and 1 billion+ CFUs of probiotics, which have shown through research to help maintain a healthy intestinal balance and support immune function, and may also help ease constipation, bloating, and other minor digestive discomforts associated with pregnancy.

The vegetarian, naturally flavored chews can be eaten 1-4 times daily and are available in packs of 28.  It is like popping a candy, how easy is that.

Beating the Sickly Blues

My daughter started Pre-K this year.  She is now in big girl school.  One of the papers we received in our school package was the attendance policy.  We can plan for everything but we cannot predict if and when our kids will catch a cold.  All we can do is find relief for them, so they can get better sooner.
Thanks to Little Remedies and Walgreens for sending samples for review.  All opinions stated are my own based on my personal experience.

Little Remedies provides families with safe and reliable formulas, using only the necessary ingredients to support the health and well-being of infants and children.

1. Little Remedies Sterile Saline Nasal Mist & Spray/Drop: Non-medicated relief that safely soothes and moisturizes dry, crusty nasal passages caused by low humidity, heated environments, air travel, allergies or colds.  It is 100% natural.  Suggested for all ages.

2. Little Remedies Gas Relief Drops: Helps relieve stomach discomfort due to excess gas.  It has no artificial flavors, no artificial colors or dye, no Saccharin or alcohol, and gluten free.  Suggested for all ages.

3. Little Remedies Probiotics Plus Electrolytes (Digestive): It combines a probiotic and electrolytes in one convenient packet.  It helps maintain digestive health and help support hydration.  It has no artificial flavors, no dyes, and is gluten free.  Suggested for ages 1+.

When my son was born, he rarely got sick.  My daughter on the other hand regularly catches colds.  That is one of the differences when you go to daycare instead of grandma watching you at your own home.  My daughter would also suffer from tummy problems.  The nurse practitioner recommended us using natural remedies.  The doctor also explained how some kids are over medicated with too many antibiotics.  Little Remedies has always helped my daughter feel better when she needed relief and continues to help her now.  I hate to see my babies sick and I don't want them missing school either.

You can find Little Remedies at your local Walgreens.  From now through November 5th with the purchase of $15+ of Little Remedies products, you can receive 30% off at your local Walgreens Photo Center.
