Skincare Sunday-What is Melanoma?

It is always great to hear about the good that people are doing in our communities, and others in need.

Neutrogena® Brand Ambassadors Gabrielle Union and Sandra Echeverría Donate Hundreds of Sunscreens to South Florida families

"Melanoma is the most common form of cancer for ages 25-29. Properly protecting children and teaching healthy sun habits is key. Skin cancer can affect anyone, regardless of skin color. Together with Neutrogena®, I'm spreading the word to everyone I know that skin cancer is a real issue and one that can be prevented with simple steps like wearing sunscreen and doing regular skin checks," said Gabrielle.

"Sun education is everything to Neutrogena®, and that means emphasizing sun protection no matter the season. Despite a high level of awareness that sun exposure, especially childhood sunburns, increases skin cancer risk later in life, many people are still not using daily sun protection," said Sandra.

A total of 280 suncare kits were donated to South Florida families, including a variety of sunscreens for the entire family, visors and water bottles. The event helped to raise awareness about the need to protect children from an early age and ensure everyone has access to the sun protection products they need.

As Brand Ambassadors Gabrielle Union and Sandra Echeverría said, Neutrogena® hopes that with continued education and more availability of sun protection products, fewer people have to face skin cancer.
