Do you have a Barbie girl at home?  I'm a Barbie in a Barbie Worrrllldddd...yes, I am singing again.  Sorry, long day.  But I really was a Barbie girl and still am at heart.  My daughter is so girlie and loves her Barbie's.  She really loves fairies.  When she saw Mariposa, she was so excited.

Mariposa and her furry friend Zee return in Barbie Mariposa & the Fairy Princess. In this magical adventure, Mariposa becomes the royal Ambassador of Flutterfield and is sent to bring peace between her fairy land and their rivals, the Crystal Fairies of Shimmervale. While Mariposa doesn’t make a great first impression on their King, she becomes fast friends with his shy daughter, Princess Catania. However, a misunderstanding causes Mariposa to be banished from the fairy land. As Mariposa and Zee return to Flutterfield, they encounter a dark fairy on her way to destroy Shimmervale. Mariposa rushes back and helps Princess Catania save her fairy land and together, the two girls prove that the best way to make a friend, is to be a friend.

My daughter has had this movie playing over and over, in the house and in when we are in the car.  Her favorite little animal was Zee.  And she is taking her Barbie Mariposa everywhere, which of course come on that is what happens when you love your Barbies.  Mariposa goes through an adventure that teaches a great lesson. It is a cute movie your little girl will want to keep watching. 

Wings Over Houston-Disney's PLANES

I was so excited to find out that Dusty, The Famous Crop Duster from Disney's "Planes," is performing at the Wings over Houston Airshow.  The show will be at Ellington Airport on October 26 and 27.

Not only making a special appearance and performance but also you and your family can get up close and personal.  Who wants a picture with Dusty?  I do, I do!! 

Now you can bring the animation to real life and what kid would just not love that.  I am so excited.  Wings Over Houston is a great show for all ages.  Mark your calendar so you can take your entire family to have some fun, play carnival games, and Nintendo exclusive Disney "Planes" video games and more.

The owner and pilot of the aircraft tapped to play the role of Dusty in the air show performances is Texas-based aerial applicator Rusty Lindeman, who customized one of his own Air Tractor AT-301 airplanes to match Dusty’s paint scheme and features. Manufactured in Olney, Texas, Air Tractor aircraft are used for agricultural spraying, seeding and fertilizing, plus forestry protection, fire fighting and more in the U.S. and more than 30 countries around the world. "We’re happy to help bring Dusty to life for the performances and hope that the audience will have fun and learn a bit more about the importance of aerial application in modern agriculture," said Air Tractor’s Kristin Edwards.

It's 5 o' clock in Fort Bend Brewing

That's right, it's 5 o' clock somewhere.  It's beer:30.  Something has been brewing in Fort Bend. 

This past Saturday, I was able to take my first tour at a brewing company.  Thanks to Fort Bend Brewing Co. for hosting myself and several other local bloggers.  I have lived in the area and I did not know that there was a brewing company so close.  FBBC is located between Highway 90 and Beltway 8.  (13370 South Gessner Rd., Missouri City, TX 77089)  Each 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month between 1 to 3 pm they offer tours.  Admission is only $5 per person.

Saturday had been a very adventurous full day for us and it was nice to just relax with some good company in a fun environment.  There are big picnic style tables available for everyone to sit family style.  You can also bring your own lawn chairs and hangout with your friends.  And of course, taste what Fort Bend Brewing is now offering in our local area.
