It is Back to School time again.  Summer is over for some parents already.  But the real topic is are you ready?  Were you ready?  How do you prepare?  Back to School really was a whirlwind for us.  My son is starting high school this year.  We knew what we were going to do and had a plan of attack.  Then someone threw us a left curb ball and now, he will be attending a new school.  But I am always trying to be ready and prepared for this time of year.  I stayed prepare by being organized at home.  I am a neat freak.  I also like to bulk buy and stock up items when on sale too.  So staying organized is a must.  But I can't stay organized unless I have my tools.  Here are what items I use to stay organize during the school year and how I use them:

Planners & calendar notebooks-I write all appointments, games, events, meetings

Mommy cards & emergency contact cards-My kid is in Soccer and Cross Country, has over 10 teachers, is in the choir, and so much more.  Every person that comes in contact with him needs my information just in case there is an emergency.  I like to have these printed and ready to go for the first day of school.  We even use them for church, volunteering, etc..

Notebooks-When your kiddo starts middle school and high school this are a must on their back to school list.  Every kid of course wants to be individual.  Who wants the black and white lined boring notebooks you and I use to use.  These kids now a days want everything to be stylish and to help them express themselves.  I like these too for me to keep track of assignments, recipes, projects, etc..

Gift Tag Stickers-I love to tag everything.  To me everything should have a home and in my house if it is labeled it is easier for my family to know what goes where.  I also use them when I send gifts to the teachers during the school year and on holidays.  I like to use them on my son's supplies.  I learned years ago to tag everything if not every kid has the same thing as yours, now you try to tell them that one is yours.  If it is tagged with your kids name on it, then fine it is yours.  And vice versa, please do not take my son's school supplies.  If his tags are on them, I will reclaimed them.
