Summer Tips for Feeling Fresh with Caress

Self Care Kit - Reviving Me

This year I am focusing on me.  Self love starts with self care.  I have not been taking care of myself like I needed to be.  Turning forty has me refocusing my energy on myself.

One of my challenges is relaxing.  I mean who has time to relax when they are running a household and trying to conquer the world.  Moms do it all.

I continue to realize that doing it all is hard work.  I have to continue to remind myself to relax.  I am making myself turn in earlier.  I am creating a quite zone.  My mind goes a million miles per hour so it gets hard to unwind.  Laying in bed, turning everything off, and making it as dark as possible.  (Clean & Clear night relaxing jelly eye mask helps me relax after my busy days.)  I know I am better when I am well rested.  When I am not I am grumpy, moody, and do not want to be bothered.  No relaxing can take a toll on our bodies and I am not getting any younger.  I am trying to reduce the stress and tension.  Cue the zen music, namaste.

Renowned hairstylist, Antonio Rosales tells us how he created that wavy loose hairstyle to complement Maite’s look and how to get those soft, voluminous and seductive waves.

Get the Look:
•Step 1: To start transforming Maite’s natural straight hair, I applied Pantene Heat Protection Spray to protect hair from heat damage and prepare for styling.

•Step 2: I divided the hair on top of the head in two sections and used two large rollers, one for each side of the head to add volume at the root.•Step 3: After the top hair has been rolled, I sectioned the bottom hair in ½ inch sections and used a curling iron to create many closed waves.

•Step 4: Once all hair was completely wavy, I removed the two rollers and asked Maite to flip her head back to be able to finger comb her waves to loosen them up and transform into soft waves.

•Step 5: And finally, I couldn’t let her go without my final touch! I sprayed Pantene Pro-V Stylers Flexible Hold Hairspray throughout Maite's long hair to maintain the volume and seal the style so it will last all night.

1. Step 1: To start the transformation, I blow-dried her hair using a big round brush to straighten from root to tip.

2. Step 2: Once dry, I separated her hair in top and bottom layers, clipping the top layer to keep it out of the way. Using a flat iron, I straightened each section from root to tip, taking 3-5 seconds per section. Once the bottom layer of her hair was completely flattened, I repeated the above steps to the top layer.
