Are you potty training?  Are you having problems and issues?  I had a hard time trying to potty train my son years ago, and now I have a little girl to potty train.  I know this is going to be hard.    But here is a product to help you and I:

PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for kids.  It covers the sides and the front of the toilet. 

My thoughts-I like that it is a splashguard.  Since it is plastic it is a great waterproof barrier between the toilet and my kiddo.  I like that they are individually packed.  I can fit it in my pocket.  I like the color print that can make a toilet a little kid friendly instead of a scary monster.

Let it Rain!

So yesterday as I was running/jogging/walking/crawling to where I started, I wrote this post in my head.  I started thinking about the clouds/rain and how they affect your day, your preception, and your outcome.  You know the sayings-
-When someone rains on your parade.
-Clouding my thoughts.

This past week has been very challenging more than others but the factor has been the clouds/rain.  It has been raining like crazy here in Houston.  But we all know Houston is huge, so it may be raining in one place and in another not.  Saturday we had a busy schedule with 2 commitments.  When we got ready to go, we looked outside and it was dark, and thunderstorming.  We still got in the truck and drove to our 1st commitment.  When we arrived there, there was no rain.  Pretty, white fluffy clouds above us.  I told my husband if we would have cancelled, they might have thought not so nice things of us.  The day before yesterday, I had a commitment across town and again, the rain came.  I really do not like driving in the rain.  But I still decided to go, and guess what, no rain.  It did not rain to and from, at all.  Yesterday, as I got ready to go change into my workout clothes it started raining at work.  Our co-workers joked about the ones that were going to go run in the rain.  We left out the parking lot and went across the street to the park.  The clouds passed and then no rain.  The sun was out and it was beaming down on us.  The only traces of water, were the puddles on the ground and the sweat falling off of me.

So as I was trying to run, I started gazing at the sky.  I started thinking how clouds/rain can make us change our plans.  Sometimes we are just waiting for one thing to happen so we could change our minds. 

Are you having a cloudy day?  Are things raining down on you? 

What if when you step outside, the rains stops.  You will never know unless you take that next step.  I am no longer talking about real rain, I'm talking about life.  Life comes down on us and it sometimes stops all we do.  We cannot see past the dark, clouds (hard times), through the rain (problems), and into the rainbow (your next step).  I was stuck.  It was raining, pouring down on me, and yesterday, I let it all go!  Those clouds are no longer stopping me.  Rain or Shine, I'm in.

We even got to feed some of the animals along the way...

Lil Bit even got to pet some animals too.  Even though daddy was scared, his daredevil of a daughter was not. 





The animal safari adventure was so much fun.  We will have to come back again.  We really enjoyed it and so will you.  This is a great spot for all the family to enjoy.

@SAVEinSA ~ Sightseeing San Antonio by Land, Water, and Air

So visiting San Antonio is one thing but getting to know this city was something else.  It has been 3 years since we last visited as we were passing through.  And we only got the chance to visit the Alamo.  And this time I wanted to see all San Antonio had to offer, check out our Summer Day in San Antonio.

Our day started out with a tour of San Antonio on the Alamo Trolley.  Park your car and take a ride.  I recommend doing this tour first.  It is the best way not to get lost.  And if you have the Trolley Hop Pass, you can jump on and off all day long from place to place, no need to drive around.

We then headed to Louis Tussaud's Wax Works where we got to take pics with lots of celebs.  I think this is the closest we will get.  Lil Bit even got a pic with the wax President Obama. 

We were amazed at Ripley's Believe It or Not!  Next, we headed to the Buckhorn Museum

We had so much fun doing the topsy turvy challenges.  Funny story is I was trying to take a picture of my husband doing this challenge.  He is suppose to do a pull up and his legs will go in the air by themselves.  As I am trying to take the pic, it gets to me and I go slamming into the wall.  I was laughing with tears coming out of my eyes.  My husband didn't even know what happen to me.  All he heard was me slamming into the wall.  I could not stop laughing.  Yall got to go here to understand what I am talking about.   We had so much fun and learned a thing or two.  The Texas Ranger Museum was next.

We are not the only ones who have walked these halls.  This place is huge and with alot to see.  Mommy and Daddy got some history and fun in and now it was Lil Bit's turn.  We headed to the San Antonio Children's Museum.

We explored the city by land and now we needed to hit the water on the famous San Antonio Riverwalk.  We took a boat tour and checked out all the new beautiful additions. 

And we ended the day in the air at the Tower of the Americas where we could see all of San Antonio.

Picture courtesy of @SAVEinSA There was a band playing music outside, kids playing at the sprinkler area, and people enjoying themselves sitting out while their food was being cooked on an outdoor grill.  What a way to end our day.  There was so much to see and not enough time for us to squeeze it all in.  San Antonio is so full of our history.  It is a place I recommend for families to visit.
