I was cleaning my daughter's closet yesterday and as I am clearing out old clothes I found a sweater that is not hers.  I love to pass gently used clothes, hand me downs, to family members or donate to Goodwill.  So cleaning out our closets happen ever so often in our house.  My daughter brings home clothes from her daycare that is not hers, when she has run out of oops I had an accident moment clothes.  The daycare of will not have my daughter naked so they have spare clothes they keep.  When my son started daycare I noticed they wrote the names on the clothing tags with a sharpie.

Recently I have been shopping at the "Just Between Friends" consignments and the above jacket was one of our recent purchases.  It was so cute and so cheap.  Look not too worn.  The colors are great and not washed out.  So I bought it for my daughter.  But if I take this to the daycare they are not going to know it is my daughter's jacket.  I don't sharpie.  I like to label her clothes.  Then when we are done with them, the next person can relabel the clothes with their kiddos name.  The weather has dropped and all our kids are going to be wearing jackets.  I make sure to tag all of theirs so that they all come home with the correct owner.

I love to label all of my daughter's items.  Especially because at daycare you don't want other kid's getting your kid's items.  Coodies, colds, and who knows what else-don't wanna share any of that.  When my son heads to summer camp I label all his items.  In case someone at the camp has a like item, there will be no confusion.  Even school items like supplies, and backpacks can get labeled.  This can help too if your kiddo goes and spends the summer at grandmas and grandpas.  My son and his cousin's are all the same age and wear the same size.  Grandma can separate any clothes that belongs to mine by checking the labels.

My thoughts-My daughter started daycare a couple of months ago.  We took her cups, and personal items to the daycare.  When she came home, they had written on them with ugly black permanent marker and not in the cutest handwritting.  Eventually it would wear off, you could see something was there, and then they would write her name on it again.  Not too cute at all.  So when Name Bubbles wanted to send me some labels I jumped on the chance to try out the Daycare labels, see picture below:

 The labels came in just in time for me to label all of my son's personal items.  He along with his class are traveling on a school trip.  I used the labels to label all his items so that they would not get mixed up once they get to the hotel.  I labeled his school uniform shirts and his luggage.  They were asked to bring a water bottle and the label fit perfect and it also went with his school colors.

I would have picked the share pack which is a great value but I could not decide on a neutral color that I liked that worked for both my son and daughter.  But it is a great value for those with multiple kids.
