Orchard Bar Review
Liberty Orchards just added two new flavors to the popular Orchard Bar lineup: Cherry Almond Crunch and Banana Mango & Macadamia. The all-natural, vegan and gluten free bars are loaded with nuts and fruit, sunflower and flax seeds. The result is a delicious burst of flavor rich in antioxidants (vitamins A & C), low in sodium, high in Omega-3 and a good source of protein. And with no preservatives, artificial flavors or colors, and zero cholesterol and saturated fat, they are a great snack to grab before hitting the trails or spending a day outside with the family.
The original Orchard Bars are also available in the following popular flavors: Blueberry Pomegranate & Almond, Pineapple Coconut & Macadamia and Strawberry Raspberry & Walnut. They can be found in retailers nationwide and online at www.OrchardBar.com.
The Orchard Bars were launched by century old company, Liberty Orchards, which focused on the Aplets and Cotlets for the past 100 years. The new fruit and nut bars were recently featured on Phil Lempert Supermarket Guru, where he ranked them as a “hit” and one the best fruit bars on the market today.
My thoughts-OH EMMM GEEE...when you have these bars you get hit with all the flavors. A burst of flavors in your mouth. You can taste the fruits and nuts in every bite. I can honestly say I have never tasted a bar like this one. Since I am nursing I try to eat as healthy as possible, and try to not just grab whatever. It is a perfect snack, on the go or not. My favorite is the Banana Mango & Macadamia!!

COVERGIRL Taylor Swift~2012 Billboard Music Awards
COVERGIRL Taylor Swift at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, by makeup artist, Lorrie Turk
· At the Billboard Awards, Taylor was being honored with Billboard's Woman of the Year Award. With this in mind, Taylor wanted her look to be timeless yet still a little edgy and strong.
· COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation was lightly applied using a damp sponge which ensures a light dewy application. I used a small concealer brush to sweep on a bit of COVERGIRL Fresh Complexion Under Eye Concealer to lighten up the under eye area, followed with COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush lightly brushed along Taylor's cheek bones to give just a touch of color and definition.
· With an eyeshadow brush, I applied the cranberry color from COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Shadow in Blossoms all over the lid from lash line to just above the crease and out past the outer corner of the eye and below her lower lash line as well. I then lined her eyes with COVERGIRL Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Black Fire along the upper lash line and then smudged it a bit with a cotton bud. I did this just a touch on the lower lash line as well. I finished her eyes with 2-3 coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Mascara on both the upper and lower lashes.
· Because we went with a stronger eye look, Taylor chose to go with her lips fairly understated and neutral, so I added only a bit of sheer color and shine with COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Peony over her lips with a lip brush.

National Women's Health Week~Support Breastfeeding
As the nation celebrates National Women's Health Week, it’s a perfect time to remind mothers, families and employers about the important role breastfeeding can play in the health of mother and child. Mothers who breastfeed according to medical recommendations (six months exclusive breastfeeding and continued breastfeeding through at least the first year of life) protect their child from illnesses and reduce their own risk of conditions such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and breast and ovarian cancer.
While 75 percent of new moms in the United States start breastfeeding their babies, few continue after they return to work. Many worksites lack a private location and adequate facilities for pumping and storing breastmilk, and mothers worry about the attitudes of their supervisors and co-workers if they ask for the small amount of break time they need to pump breastmilk during the workday.
That’s why the Texas Department of State Health Services encourages all Texas employers to consider developing a written worksite breastfeeding support policy and to pursue designation as a Texas Mother-Friendly Worksite. The agency also has launched http://www.texasmotherfriendly.org/ as a resource for parents and employers.
I took the pledge because I am a breastfeeding momma!! And proud of it. I am so glad that my employer is supporting me and my decision to breastfeed my baby Gia. I use a conference room to pump. I have my schedule for pumping and I try to stay within those times. My co-workers also know where I am and what I am doing. So no-one is going crazy looking for me, and they all support me and my decision as well. I pump and put my milk in the refrigerator. I have heard of the hard times others are having with this issue, especially those who work for employers with less than 50 employees where the law does not require them to provide a place for us. We do not need much space, just some place private. We do not ask for much. And pumping is so quick and easy to do.
